MOSAIC – Mission-Oriented SWafS to Advance Innovation through Co-creation – is a new Horizon 2020 project in the field of co-innovation. MOSAIC will consolidate past Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI ) project outcomes into one knowledge base and in doing so develop a new methodology. This co-innovation methodology will be tested in place-based innovation ecosystems in the frame of the Horizon Europe Mission on climate-neutral and smart cities.

As the project launches, two pilot cities, Milan and Brussels , have been identified as the local testbeds of the MOSAIC methodology. Through a mutual learning process, a group of follower cities – the MOSAIC Community of Practice – will continue in the pilot cities’ footsteps. MOSAIC will connect the dots between existing projects, approaches and best practices to exploit the power of co-creation in engaging all parts of the quadruple helix and integrating citizens into innovation ecosystems across Europe.

The MOSAIC project is led by Stickydot and is joined in the consortium by SoScience , Université Gustave Eiffel , ERRIN and Fondazione Giannino Bassetti . Learn more about the project partners here.
