With just a few days left to submit Expressions of Interest to the Horizon Europe Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, MOSAIC's partners are sharing their top tips for including citizen engagement and co-creation activities in applications - take a look!
The Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities (Cities Mission) aims to deliver 100 climate-neutral and smart European cities by 2030, while paving the way for remaining European cities to become climate-neutral by 2050. It aims to create a bottom-up approach towards achieving climate-neutrality, supported by a Climate City Contract, which requires the participation of the entire local ecosystem and support from all governance levels.
MOSAIC is working to support the 16 cities and regions that responded to its 2021 call for cities to collaborate with MOSAIC on their citizen engagement activities in the Mission. Over the next two years, MOSAIC will work with the cities both as they submit their Expressions of Interest to the Cities Mission, develop their Climate City Contracts and as they then work with their citizens to achieve their climate-neutrality goals by 2030.
